Please read our terms carefully before using our services.

Our Company Policies & Limits of Liability

We understand this is a lot of information, but it’s important that every customer clearly understands our policies before services begin. While we are committed to working hard and meeting your needs, certain requests may involve inherent risks.

Our policies are designed to set clear expectations and protect both our customers and our team throughout the moving process.

Company Policies

1. Customer Presence
The customer, or an authorized representative, must be present during the move and available to complete a final walkthrough upon job completion.

2. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. For multi-day jobs, payment may be made either at the end of the project or incrementally after each day of service. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, and credit/debit cards. Card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.

3. Estimates & Pricing
All estimates provided are non-binding and subject to change based on actual labor, time, materials, and conditions encountered during the move. By booking services, you agree to the current hourly rates published by Sassi Solutions LLC.

4. Scope of Work Changes

If additional services are requested or required beyond the original agreement, Sassi Solutions LLC reserves the right to adjust pricing accordingly.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We strive to accommodate scheduling needs; however, Sassi Solutions LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to mechanical issues, unsafe conditions, or severe weather. Customers may cancel services at any time prior to crew arrival without penalty.

6. Safety & Right to Refuse Service
Sassi Solutions LLC reserves the right to decline or stop any work deemed unsafe or hazardous at the discretion of our team.

7. Customer Responsibilities (Inventory & Preparation)
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate, written inventory of all items to be moved prior to service. Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for items not included on the provided inventory list.

​

8. Refrigerators & Freezers
All refrigerators and freezers must be emptied and properly prepared prior to moving. We do not transport units containing contents.

​

9. Specialty & Mechanical Items
We will transport specialty items such as waterbeds, Sleep Number beds, or similar mechanical furniture; however, we are not certified technicians. Disassembly and reassembly will be performed based on customer guidance, and the customer must inspect functionality prior to crew departure.

10. Heavy Item Limitations

We may attempt to move items exceeding 400 lbs., if deemed safe. Sassi Solutions LLC does not guarantee the ability to move such items and assumes no liability for damages resulting from attempts to move excessively heavy items.

 

11. Piano Policy
We do not move grand pianos or large upright pianos. Smaller pianos may be moved at the crew leader’s discretion, provided conditions are safe. Stair transport of pianos may be declined if safety risks are present.

 

12. Fragile & High-Risk Items
Customers may choose to transport fragile items such as glassware, ceramics, and valuables themselves. If we transport these items, we are not liable for damage unless they are professionally packed by our team.

 

13. Pre-Existing Condition of Items
Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for damage to items with pre-existing structural weaknesses, including but not limited to pressed wood furniture, aged materials, dry rot, or general wear and tear.

14. Property & Access Conditions
Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and clear access to the property. This includes trimming trees and removing obstacles. Sassi Solutions LLC is not liable for damage to landscaping, driveways, or structures caused by restricted or unsafe access conditions.

15. Non-Routine Moving Conditions
We are not responsible for damage resulting from difficult or unusual moving conditions, including tight spaces, sharp turns, narrow staircases, overcrowded areas, or weather-related hazards.

 

16. Prohibited Items

For safety and legal compliance, Sassi Solutions LLC will not transport hazardous materials, including flammable liquids, chemicals, or other regulated substances.

 

17. Mattress Policy
Mattresses and box springs must be protected with a cover. If no cover is provided or purchased, Sassi Solutions LLC assumes no liability for damage or contamination. If requested prior to service, Sassi Solutions LLC will be happy to provide a mattress cover for you upon purchase.

 

18. Third-Party Involvement
For liability reasons, customers and third parties (including friends, family, or outside contractors) are not permitted to assist in the moving process. Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for damages or injuries involving third-party participation.

 

19. Children & Pets
For safety, all children and pets must be kept clear of work areas during the move.

 

20. Claims Process
All claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 3 calendar days of service completion. Claims must include supporting documentation, including time-stamped photos taken before and after the move.

 

21. Outstanding Balances & Claims
All invoices must be paid in full before any claim is reviewed or processed. Claims submitted with outstanding balances will be denied.

 

22. No Refund Policy
All services rendered are non-refundable. Customers may submit a formal claim or dispute after payment if they are dissatisfied with services.

Limits of Liability

1. Released Value Coverage
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all items are transported under Released Value Protection, which limits liability to $0.60 per pound per item.

2. Right to Repair or Replace
Sassi Solutions LLC reserves the right to repair or replace any item claimed as damaged, rather than issuing a cash settlement.

​

3. Customer-Packed Items (PBO)
Sassi Solutions LLC is not liable for the condition or contents of items packed by the customer (Packed By Owner – PBO) unless such items are opened and inspected by our team prior to transport.

​

4. Fragile Items & Glass
We are not responsible for damage to glass, ceramics, porcelain, or similarly fragile items unless they are professionally packed by Sassi Solutions LLC.

​

5. Electronics & Mechanical Items
Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for the internal or operating condition of electronics or mechanical items, including but not limited to televisions, stereos, clocks, or similar equipment.
External damage will be handled in accordance with Section 1 (Released Value Coverage).

​

6. Television Transport

Televisions should be transported in proper boxes. Without a TV box, we will wrap and pad the TV and will do our best to move the item without damage. If a customer declines using a TV Box, Sassi Solutions LLC assumes no liability for damage. If properly packed, any damage will be subject to Released Value Coverage limits.

​

8. Non-Routine Moving Conditions
Sassi Solutions LLC is not liable for damage resulting from non-standard moving conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Tight spaces or difficult layouts

  • Sharp turns or narrow stairways

  • Overcrowded or obstructed work areas

  • Weather-related conditions

​

9. High-Value & Prohibited Items

We are not responsible for loss or damage to:

  • Cash, currency, or financial instruments

  • Jewelry, precious stones, or collectibles

  • Important documents

  • Items of extraordinary value

Customers are responsible for transporting these items personally.

​

10. Pre-Existing Damage & Item Condition
Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for damage to items with pre-existing structural
issues, deterioration, or normal wear and tear, including but not limited to aged furniture,
wiring, mattresses, or delicate materials.

​

11. Pressed Wood & Particle Board Furniture

Furniture made of pressed wood, particle board, or similar materials is inherently fragile and prone to damage. Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for damage to such items, and they are excluded from all valuation coverage options.

​

12. Appliances & Connections
We may assist with connecting or disconnecting appliances as a courtesy; however:

  • We are not licensed plumbers or technicians

  • We make no guarantees regarding installation

  • We recommend professional inspection after service

Sassi Solutions LLC assumes no liability for damage resulting from these connections or the working condition of appliances.

​

13. Appliance & Surface Damage
We are not responsible for minor cosmetic damage (such as dents or scratches) to appliances or similar items, as these surfaces are highly susceptible to damage during normal handling.

​

14. Floors & Surface Protection
While reasonable care is taken, Sassi Solutions LLC is not responsible for damage to flooring or surfaces (including hardwood, tile, marble, or carpet) caused by the movement of heavy items or use of dollies.

​

15. Customer-Provided Transportation
Sassi Solutions LLC assumes no responsibility for items placed in vehicles, trailers, or equipment not owned or operated by our company.

​

16. Special Instructions
We are not liable for damage to items requiring special handling or instructions if such instructions are not clearly provided by the customer prior to the move.

​

17. Plants & Pets
We do not assume responsibility for the safety, health, or condition of plants or pets during the moving process.
